3. Information we handle
3.1 Quiz answers and results on your device
When you complete a character quiz, your answers are tallied in your browser. The Site then saves a summary of your latest match in local storage on that device. That summary can include the character name, short text, house or affiliation label, image path, time of the match, and a score spectrum.
Only the latest quiz result is kept. Taking another quiz replaces the previous saved match on that device. Clearing site data in your browser, or using a different device or browser profile, removes or isolates that saved result. We do not receive a permanent copy of each answer choice as a named profile on our servers, because scoring and result storage are designed to stay on your device.
3.2 Technical log data
When you visit the Site, our hosting environment may automatically record technical information such as:
- IP address
- Browser type and version
- Device or operating system details
- Pages requested and timestamps
- Referring URL when provided by the browser
This kind of log data is used for security, uptime, and basic troubleshooting. Retention depends on the host’s configuration.
3.3 Cookies and similar storage
The Service relies on browser local storage for your saved match. Your browser may also store ordinary session or cache data needed to load pages. If we later add analytics or advertising tools, this policy will be updated to name those tools and explain related cookies.
